| Orla de Bri - Elements of Sculpture |
|
This show is inspired by 17th century Dutch still life paintings which combine elements from nature: food, game or flowers with man made objects. These paintings often had hidden meanings and de Brí has similarly created miniature installations combining elements from nature with highly polished bronze figures. Each installation is carefully arranged on seasoned wood with a backdrop of rich black velvet and is lit from the left, giving each one a painterly quality. The vignettes are then digitally captured, printed and framed. A 3 dimensional character from the image is presented with each work, placed on a bronze shelf to the right of the image giving you a different perspective both of the image and the sculpture. Like the Dutch still lifes, de Brí’s installations convey different symbolic meanings, hidden messages or humour. A 24-page colour catalogue of the exhibition has been produced with an introduction written by the Irish Times art critic Aidan Dunne.

| Rita Duffy - Solo Exhibition |
|
Rita Duffy's new solo show is one not to be missed. Duffy is one of Northern Ireland's groundbreaking artists who began her work concentrating primarily on the figurative/narrative tradition. Her art is often autobiographical, including themes and images of Irish identity, history and politics. Duffys work has grown and evolved but remains intensely personal with overtones of the surreal. Homage is paid to the language of magic realism and always there is exquisite crafting of materials.
Context, authenticity and draftsmanship are fundamental to Duffy’s work. Her work is a response to both personal and shared experiences, which have arisen from the socio-political situation in Northern Ireland. Much of her work is autobiographical, addressing her experience growing up Catholic and Female in the North. Rita Duffy has had numerous solo exhibitions in Ireland, UK, the USA, and Europe and is included in public, private and corporate collections worldwide. An Irish art "Buy".

| Eithne Jordan - Night in a City |
|
Bare of people, and eschewing the well known tours of architectural highlights, Eithne Jordan's Night in a City series focuses on Vienna. Resonating with a sense of emptiness, these beautifully executed paintings are pregnant with action that is either to come, or else is taking place just out of view. Jordan's delicate handling of paint prevents the heaviness of blank concrete walls, or the fa?ades of nightime?s sleeping buildings from becoming overbearing and oppressive, instead what is revealed is a more intimate portrait of a city left for a moment to be simply itself. "These images are the result of two working trips to Vienna, the second of which was in the dead of winter. Stark and cold, I found it interested me more than my previous summer visit" the artist says. Dublin-born Eithne Jordan studied at Dun Laoghaire School of Art and at Hochschule der Kunste, Berlin. A member of Osdana, she is one of Ireland's leading figurative painters exhibiting widely in Europe.

Why Invest In Irish Art
"The Irish art market has grown faster than any other international art market worldwide. Each year sees unprecedented records smashing those of the previous year," writes David Britton in the Irish Arts Review, and he ends,"it was a very good year for Irish art." Irish artists continue to set personal records at Sotheby's, Christie's and auction houses in Ireland itself....A couple of years ago, Forbes - the key magazine for the world's top entrepreneurs - commented that "since 1990, 20th-century Irish art, Dutch Old Masters and English sporting pictures have been the art market's three fastest-rising sectors - with the Irish climbing the most steeply."
